Basic Information

 

This publication began in 1966 as Bioquímica Clínica, the scientific dissemination body of the Federación de Especialistas en Análisis Biológicos de la Provincia de Buenos Aires (actual Federación Bioquímica de la Provincia de Buenos Aires [FABA]), its editor and owner, directed by more than 50 years by Prof. Dr. Juan Miguel Castagnino. Its first Director was Prof. Dr. Raúl Balado and its current Director is Prof. Dr. Horacio Ángel Lopardo. It is a scientific journal with peer review, whose primary objective was oriented towards the scientific and professional approach of Bioquímica Clínica. In 1971 he received the 1st. APTA/Rizzuto award from the Argentine Technical and Specialized Press Association in the scientific category. In 1976, with the current name of Acta Bioquímica Clínica Latinoamericana, it was designated at the 3rd Latin American Congress of Clinical Biochemistry as the scientific dissemination body of the Confederación Latinoamericana de Bioquímica Clínica (COLABIOCLI) and is currently the scientific dissemination body of the Confederación Unificada Bioquímica de la República Argentina (CUBRA) and the ederación Bioquímica de la Provincia de Buenos Aires, its editor and owner. In 2004, by resolution No. 1373/04 of CONICET, to form theNúcleo Básico de Revistas Científicas –Categoría 1- Acta Bioquimica Clínica Latinoamericana was included in the SciELO ( Scientific Electronic Library on line ) site for comprehensive electronic dissemination to international level which is accessed from http://www.scielo.org.ar . It is also part of the Red de Revistas Científicas de América Latina y el Caribe, España y Portugal ( http://redalyc.uaemex.mx ).

His specialty is Clinical Biochemistry oriented to the study of biochemical alterations in humans and the impact of the environment on health and disease through biochemical-clinical analyses. As an extension, supplements corresponding to updates of scientific and professional interest are published.

It is distributed by donation or subscription in the Argentine Republic and abroad, as well as by exchange with national and international libraries through the Scientific Servicio de Apoyo Científico Técnico al Profesional de la FABA SACT.

It is an annual publication published quarterly that is distributed nationally and internationally in print, on CD-ROM and through this page. Over the course of its history it has received multiple awards. AWARDS
