Presentation and length – Articles must be presented in A4 paper size, Times New Roman font, size 12, single-sided and 1.5 line spacing. The articles will be of a maximum of 30 pages, book reviews 5 and summary referred to academic events 3.
Title, abstract and key words – Titles should clearly specify the topic dealt with in the article. Each article must present an abstract between 100 and 150 words. The author must indicate up to 5 key words which allow an appropriate indexing of the article.
Quotes and References – It is advisable to get the A.P.A. Manual for its simplicity and practicality. Therefore, textual quotes of up to three lines will be integrated to the body of the text, written between inverted commas and followed by the surname of the author of the text, year of publication and number or numbers of corresponding pages, everything between parentheses. When the quoted author is part of the paragraph, only the year and number of page will be written between parentheses. Those quotes which exceed the three lines will be highlighted in a different paragraph and centralized, leaving 2 cm indentation both left and right. The references without quote will be incorporated in the paragraph between parentheses, providing author and year of publication of the article.
Illustrations, figures, charts and tables – Illustrations, figures, charts and tables must be enumerated according to the order in which they will appear in the text and each of them must be presented on a separate sheet at the end of the article. An approximate location will be indicated in the text.
Footnotes – Explanatory notes will be included at the end of the article, before the bibliography.
Bibliography – Bibliographical references must be included at the end of the paper as follows:
*Books: Surname, name initials, year between parentheses, title in bold, editorial, place of edition.
*Magazines: Surname, name initials, year between parentheses, title of the article between inverted commas and in italics, name of the magazine in bold, volume, issue of the magazine between parentheses, month (if any).
Evaluation – After a preliminary formal revision, the Editorial Board will send the article to autonomous referees, whose field of work is associated to the subject of the article. In a period of time no longer than three months, the result of the evaluation will be sent to the author.
Right of reply – The comment of an article published in Espacios en Blanco. Revista de Educación as its replica is subject to the same publication requirements. If a comment is accepted for its publication, the Editorial Board will let the author of the original article know and the same space will be offered for the replica. The replica might appear in the same issue as the comment or in following issues.
Editorial Responsibility – The responsibility on the content of the articles lies on their authors and not on Espacios en Blanco. Revista de Educación or the Núcleo de Estudios Educacionales y Sociales (NEES) of the Facultad de Ciencias Humanas de la Universidad Nacional del Centro de la Provincia de Buenos Aires.
Criteria for the reviews of Academic Events
Maximum length 3 pages, A4 paper size, 1.5 line spacing, Times New Roman font, size 12. Content: clearly specify the objective and aim of the event, nature of the event (regional, national, international), place and date, organizers, in case of big events indicate only participating institutions, in case of events of small groups indicate participating institutions and members that for any reason deserve being highlighted and a brief description of the subjects dealt with and activities done.
Criteria for the bibliography
Maximum length 5 pages, A4 paper size, 1.5 line spacing, Times New Roman font, size 12. Preference: a style that, apart from accounting for the content of the book, reflects it theoretical and/or methodological contribution, and/or contribution to the disciplinary field, etc.
In both cases, events and texts to be reviewed must have been recently published or written. The reviews received will be evaluated by the Editorial Board, which reserves the right to suggest modifications and to accept them for their publication. |
