The international magazine Guidance and Society (Orientación y Sociedad) is a yearly publication of the School of Psychology, National University of La Plata. This magazine offers a space for different interdisciplinary experiences -national and internationally- related to issues concerning guidance, employment, and work at the individual, institutional and community levels, both in the preventive and the assistance aspects. It also seeks to share new approaches related to the production of theory and the transmission and transfer of knowledge. All articles are published in two languages -Spanish and English- and in every section, i.e., Core, Research Advance Section, University Extramural Transfer and Research Summaries, a summary in Portuguese is also provided.

Frequency: annual (1 issue/year).
The volumes # 3 (2001-2002) and # 4 (2003-2004) are biannual issues.
This journal is having updating problems in its collection that are beyond SciELO Argentina unity.

Its abbreviated title is Orientac. soc. (en línea) and it should be used in bibliographies, footnotes, references and bibliographic strips.

Orientación y Sociedad maintains a commitment to the policies of Open Access to scientific information, as it considers that both scientific publications as well as research investigations funded by public resources should circulate freely without restrictions.

Orientación y Sociedad ratifies the Open Access model in which scientific publications are made freely available at no cost online, with no time embargos and with no publication costs transferred to the authors. This policy seeks to dismantle the economic barriers that have created inequalities in the access to both information and the ability to publish investigation results
