Revista de Historia del Derecho is a scientific publication of Instituto de Investigaciones de Historia del Derecho that, as from 2009, will be published every six months in an electronic format. It is part of Núcleo Básico de Revistas Científicas Argentinas, and has now been included in the collection of SciELO Argentina (Scientific Electronic Library Online), sponsored by Consejo Nacional de Investigaciones Científicas y Técnicas de la Republica Argentina (CONICET).
Revista de Historia del Derecho was published, without interruptions, since 1973 on paper editions that included number 36, corresponding to the year 2008.
Revista de Historia del Derecho continues a long tradition in the scientific research of legal and historical studies that was initiated in the first half of the XXth century. 
Revista de Historia del Derecho publishes articles of original investigation about argentine and iberoamerican History of Law, including studies on the theory and methodology of History of Law, indigenous rights, colonial law and national law of the XIXth and XXth centuries, that have been developed by following the diverse lines of research and focus currently applied in this field of study.
Contributions are classified in the usual sections, according to their nature: Research, Documents, Notes, Old legal textbooks. The Bibliography section refers to recent publications in this discipline. Chronicle informs about scientific activities performed in the Institute and other specialized reunions.

Frequency: six-monthly (2 issues/year).

Its abbreviated title is Rev. hist. derecho (en línea), and it should be used in bibliographies, footnotes, references and bibliographic strips.
