Abstract

SANCHEZ, Juliana P.; UDRIZAR SAUTHIER, Daniel E.  and  LARESCHI, Marcela. New records of fleas (Insecta, Siphonaptera) parasites of sigmodontine rodents (Cricetidae) from Southern Patagonia, Argentina. Mastozool. neotrop. [online]. 2009, vol.16, n.1, pp.243-246. ISSN 0327-9383.

In this study, new species and subspecies of fleas are mentioned parasitizing six species of sigmodontine rodents (Abrothrix olivaceus, Eligmodontia morgani, Loxodontomys micropus, Phyllotis xanthopygus, Reithrodon auritus and Euneomys petersoni) that inhabit the Argentinean provinces of Santa Cruz and Tierra del Fuego. Fleas associated with E. morgani are recorded for the first time.
