Abstract

NAVARRO, Fernando  and  SAN BLAS, Germán. Redescription of the genus Graptocullia (Lepidoptera: Noctuidae) with notes on its synonymy. Rev. Soc. Entomol. Argent. [online]. 2008, vol.67, n.3-4, pp.69-77. ISSN 0373-5680.

Graptocullia Köhler from Argentina is redescribed. Two species are recognized in the genus: G. sagittata Köhler, 1951 and G. xylinoides (Köhler, 1951) comb. nov. The two species are briefly redescribed and differences are discussed; adults, and both male and female genitalia, are illustrated. The following generic change is proposed: Riagria Köhler, 1951, is placed as a junior subjective synonym of Graptocullia Köhler, 1951. Lectotypes are designated for both species.

Keywords : Graptocullia sagittata Köhler. G. xylinoides (Köhler) comb. nov. Riagria Köhler; Taxonomy; Argentina.
