Abstract

Since 2009, Argentina has developed significant transformations in the social policies intended for sectors poorly integrated into the formal labor market, such as the “Asignación Universal por Hijo para la Protección Social (AUH) and Programa Ingreso Social con Trabajo- “Argentina Trabaja” (PRIST-AT), both in 2009. Here will be addressed PRIST-AT - scantily analyzed in academic world in comparison with the AUH -, as an income transfer policy in the context of the generation of jobs formed and funded directly from the State. We will consider the central discussion on Welfare in Argentina today and, in particular, the factors that generate strong questions for think the PRIST-AT under the framework of the Social Economy and the cooperative practice, especially, when checked inside, coexistence and tension off other methods of provision of the social welfare - as the income transfer and wage earning work formats.
