Abstract

MILSTEIN, Diana. Ethnography with children: educational opportunities for researchers. Espac. blanco, Ser. indagaciones [online]. 2015, vol.25, n.1, pp.193-212. ISSN 1515-9485.

Writing about Ethnography with children presents a double conceptual complexity. We need to expose what we mean when we say "Ethnography with" and an account of a way to see the Childs, like those that can make a significant contribution to understanding our social and cultural worlds. To understand some of the important aspects of this contribution, I propose think Ethnography with children as an educational process for researchers. In that sense, in this article, instead of putting the focus on children as learners, we are going to think about researchers seeking about the opportunities and possibilities opened by Ethnography with children, for those adults to learn. To do this, start presenting briefly what the 'Ethnography whif and what is the sense that awarded him the term "with". Then, I develop my vision of children as partners in ethnographic research. Finally, using two examples, I show the ability of the ethnographic work with children to create learning opportunities for adults.

Keywords : Ethnography with children; educational research; comprehension.
