Abstract

In the following article, we tender a theoretical key proposal to examine the liminary location of Argentine literature in the context of mass media hegemony. Having on the horizon a possible corpus that dialogues with both television and new digital formats, we think of this aesthetic expression in response to what Reynaldo Laddaga calls "a new cultural ecology", marked by "the extension of the screens in all spaces" (2010). From there we deploy a historical periodization that has as its axis the relationship between art and technology, to think the current moment in the light of previous breaks in the process of modernization. Finally, from the figure of Manuel Puig, we highlight some of the characteristics that are operative to think the cross between literature and mass media.
