Abstract

SOSA, Rosario. About the notion in Davidson's 'conceptual scheme'. Cuad. Fac. Humanid. Cienc. Soc., Univ. Nac. Jujuy [online]. 2000, n.15, pp.127-138. ISSN 1668-8104.

A statement that you can't avoid in most part of the problems related with Epistemology and Semantics is the one of the relativism. Through spontaneous observations we prove the existence of different social and cultural groups, that posses their particular way: believe and think, about different empirical, moral, cogniscitive matters, etc. A relative philosopher looking all this, intends to give a satisfactory explanation, arguing that these groups live in "different worlds". And these different worlds are the results of the different conceptual classifying schemes that are used by social groups. The work's structure propose to analyse Davidson's essay according to: First: "Realise conceptual aclarations of the term "relativism", second: Determinate grades of conceptual relativism; and third, explain patterns of how can be combined language, thought and reality. And finally, work the essay with Rabossi's article and Kuhn's chapter. From all this, we shall develop some thoughts that emerged from the reading of these texts.
