The volume and fluency in the information area a current constant for all scientific, cultural and social activity. In the context of this scenario, medicine and the contemporary doctor´s role intervine forming a complex net that converge in guidelines of diagnoses and of therapeutics, as well as national and international consensus, meetings and congresses refresher conferences, participation in pre and post graduate education and assisting activity. Oncology as responsible speciality of cancer treatment involves and extense multidisciplinary team, supported by surgeons, clinical practitioner, pathologists, imagenologists, oncologists, psychologists genetisists, basic researches and nurses. The present text has not got any ambition to consider this paper a monograph paper on this subject, considering the magnitude of the available information bibliographic, pertinent quotes would be innumerable. The most concrete example in oncology is given by the absolute number of participants to the annual congress the American annual congress of clinical oncology. With about 35000 participants and an average of 5000 papers sent for this event from all over the world. The objective of this paper is to offer reflexions on general hnowledge about cancer, a frequent pathology in every living being.
