Abstract

The experience of a Journal of Women Studies: La Aljaba, segunda época. Aljaba [online]. 2006, vol.10, pp.71-84. ISSN 1669-5704.

The early 90s was witness to the First Women's History Conference held in Argentina, at the National University of Luján (UNLu). This landmark opened the way for an academic space for women's history and gender studies, that encouraged a fluid exchange between universities. Each according to their possibilities, the latter began to adopt different political and academic modalities to establish and later institutionalize this new field of study in Argentine universities. Following this queue, three national universities (Comahue, La Pampa, and Luján) started working together, sharing tasks and establishing cooperative and supportive work arrangements. This article is an account and assessment of that experience.
