The present article is interested in knowing the changes in the identity of the main recipients of the fiscal resources delivered by the Real Caja de Buenos Aires during the XVIIth century, with the aim of identifying early inflections that marked the long run fiscal dynamics of Buenos Aires. For this reason it focuses on the data of the Libros Manuales and Mayores of the Real Caja, in order to know the source of these funds, as well as the purpose assigned to them. This makes it possible to calibrate the case in the context of Fiscal-Military States.
