Abstract

GORDILLO, Mariano Martín. Science, Future And Classrooms: Some Didactic Proposals On Prospective Studies. Rev. iberoam. cienc. tecnol. soc. [online]. 2016, vol.11, n.33, pp.113-142. ISSN 1850-0013.

Education is very important for the future, but the future is also very important for education: the future as a subject, as a context where to learn to analyze and appreciate the differences between the ideal and the possible. Prospective studies are, therefore, a field that is as relevant for science as it is for an education that is engaged with scientific culture. Among the hundreds of didactic materials for the Contenedores project, some are focused on future scenarios and propose different ways of tackling the relations between science, technology and society. This article presents ten of those practical proposals about the future to take very much into account in the classroom.

Keywords : STS education; Scientific culture; Didactics; Future; Foresight.
