Abstract

SPINA, Josefina  and  GIOVANNETTI, Marco. Metalurgia prehispánica en el valle de Hualfín: Nuevos datos sobre Quillay. Intersecciones antropol. [online]. 2014, vol.15, n.2, pp.473-477. ISSN 1850-373X.

The archaeological site of Quillay is considered the second most important center of specialized metal production within the Inka Empire. It has two sectors clearly differentiated by their structures, a residential sector with an Inkan architectural pattern, and a production sector with abundant smelting furnaces. This paper presents the results of a site planialtimetric survey and new data on the morphology of the sites widely debated metallurgical furnaces.

Keywords : Quillay; Metallurgical furnices; Inka.
