Abstract

TRAININI, Jorge C.; LAGO, Noemí  and  CHACHQUES, Juan C.. La plasticidad en la regeneración cardíaca. Rev. argent. cardiol. [online]. 2005, vol.73, n.4, pp.301-307. ISSN 1850-3748.

The cardiac regeneration plasticity Myoblasts and stem cell therapy provide an exciting prospect to a powerful heart repairing treatment. Although animal research has been undertaken in order to analyse the safety and efficacy of this new approach, results have been inconclusive. The mechanism by which stem cells could improve cardiac function remains unclear. We describe the background concepts of natural repair and the work that has been done so as to establish the role of stem cells in cardiac repair. Open collaboration amongst basic scientists and clinicians around the world is crucial to overcome these problems.

Keywords : Cardiac regeneration; Cellular implant; Plasticity.
