Abstract
BRICENO MARTINEZ, John Jairo and BENARROCH BENARROCH, Alicia. Conceptions and beliefes in science, learning and teaching of university teachers. Rev. electrón. investig. educ. cienc. [online]. 2013, vol.8, n.1, pp.24-41. ISSN 1850-6666.
There have been increasing interests at the present time related to the study and research of conceptions and beliefs in teachers. Although these studies have been analyzed for elementary to high school degrees, nowadays there is an unprecedented boost for analyzing these facts on university professors. In this research we analyze the information taken from semi-structured surveys in five university professors in order to inquire the above mentioned facts. In conclusion from the surveys taken, it seems that empiric over constructivist conceptions are quite common in science. Also the reductionist conceptions on the teaching process and a deep lack of knowledge in relation to the learning process in science didactics are also common.
