Abstract
CALZETTA, Juan José and ORLIEVSKY, Daniel. Severedevelopmental disorders: from writing to representation. Anu. investig. [online]. 2005, vol.12, pp.317-325. ISSN 1851-1686.
This paper proposes the integration of different theoretical approaches in order to analyse the problem of severe developmental disorders. The application of the Facilitated Communication technique in children and young persons which are not able to use oral, written or gesture language, or whose oral language is limited, echolalic or bizarre and cannot communicate trough spontaneous handwriting is described, and the consequences of that processes are analysed. The subjects of psychical apparatus and representational systems constitution processes are considered as strictly metapsychological problems that would be studied, in these cases, with original methodologies. A hypothesis is proposed: the finding or the utilisation of verbal significants through writing skills modifies the modality of psychic processing, producing an intrasubjective change previous to intersubjective communicational increase. Three of the cases studied in this investigation are resumed.
