This is a report of the Master Subsidy project "Representations of participation in health field in teenager users of health public system of CABA" directed by PhD. María Cristina Chardon. The project's main aim is to search about representations of participation in health field of teenagers that make use of the CABA health public system. The specific objectives try to identify participation conscious levels, the steps of the participation process that teenager users go through and favorable and inhibition factors of participation in health field. The project's framework is qualitative, descriptive and exploratory and it has three stages: an initial stage to revise different theory aspects and to update the art state, a stage for field work where data collection will be done using deep interviews, observations and focal groups; and a final stage for data analysis according to the perspective of grounded theory. We have just finished the initial stage and since we have not yet done the field work, we do not have empirical data for the analysis. Therefore, this report contains a first part with the results of the initial stage which consists in the delimitation of main concepts of theory and the update of knowledge about the research theme; and a second part which consists in a methodology issue. The first part describes health field based in research about health functioning laws, representations of health/ illness and the state of participation. We also describe CABA health field according to health law and to recent research which allowed us to establish teenager users position as health field agents and the possible relationships between health field organization and representations of participation in teens. Finally, we work on the relationship between health representations of teenager users (understood as a preexistant cognitive system) and and their participation in health field representations. In the second part of this report we present a methodology design which specifies not only the type of design but the caracteristics of population, sample, analysis units, data resources, data recolection instruments and the plan for data analysis.
