Abstract

CORACH, Irene  and  SALOMONE, Gabriela, Z.. The legal, social and subjective aspects of the probation system: A quali-quantitative analysis. Anu. investig. [online]. 2009, vol.16, pp.19-27. ISSN 1851-1686.

Among the alternative measures to imprisonment, probation has arisen like the most significant option since, on the one hand, it is opposed to the prison which is the most extended and accepted model of penal sanction, and on the other, it responds to political, historical and social variants tie to the paradigm of the Human Rights. Through a field research, the present study analyzes the legal aspects of the measure, the social representations around it, and the role of psychologists involved in the implementation of this legal practice.
