Abstract

From Critical Epidemiology, health-disease-care process is considered a singular and collective process that occurs in a territory. Critical Psychology brings elucidating of participatory, dialogic and commitment dimensions to transformation of socio-economic, ecological, symbolic and subjective contexts. Both approaches contribute to addressing health as a field of convergence and intersection of meanings, practices and knowledge of different social actors in specific territories. With a qualitative approach and a multiples cases study, this paper intends to elucidate barriers and facilitators in the exigibility of health's right in Buenos Aires City, districts 3 and 4. As results it became visible socio-economic, institutional, epistemological and technocratic dimensions as obstacles; while actors with critical involvement and community social networks appeared as main facilitators in accessing to health's right.
