Abstract

This paper aims to investigate the institutional integration of Dr. Enrique Eduardo Krapf (1901-1963) at the Hospicio de las Mercedes (opened in 1863). It will proceed to the historical and institutional contextualization of the period in which this german psychiatrist and psychoanalyst was tied to the institution (1937-1955). The addressed methodology is based on a discourse analysis (Narvaja Arnoux, E.) about primary sources (resolutions, periodicals, texts,medical records) and secondary that refer to the topic under investigation (Guerrino, 1982; Loudet & Loudet, 1971; Stagnaro, 1993; Carofile, 2001; Klappenbach, 2004; Navarlaz, 2010; Volmer, 2010, Rossi, 2010)
