Abstract

This article intends to carry out a detailed study of the problem of responsibility in Althusser, who in 1980 murders his wife under what was assessed by expert psychiatric opinions as a State of Dementia. The implementation of article 64th of the French Criminal Code running that time, which determines the non-responsibility of the individual who carries out a criminal act under an insanity state, allows Althusser be benefited with the not to place legal figure, by what was never called to publicly respond for the murder committed.
