Abstract

CRYAN, Glenda  and  QUIROGA, Susana. Analysis of reflective functioning in a multifamily session of violent adolescents. Anu. investig. [online]. 2015, vol.22, n.1, pp.17-27. ISSN 1851-1686.

Focalised Therapy Group- FTG is a psychodynamic-oriented, short-termed and focalised diagnostic-therapeutic group device. It includes two multifamily sessions (irst and ninth session) based on the fundamental Multifamily Psychoanalysis conceptualizations. In this paper the first multifamily session of a Focalised Therapy Group- FTG for violent adolescents is analyzed. Reflective Function Scale was applied to determine the level of mentalization of violent adolescents in interaction with their parents. The predominance of -1 scores in the speech of adolescents indicates a predominantly rejection of reflection, represented by evasive, bizarre and with some degree of hostility answers. The predominance of 1 and 3 scores in the speech of parents indicates that their interventions oscillates between unknowing, generalized or specific explanations and banal, supericial and cliché statements that are not supported by a genuine reflection.
