The consolidation of community care model in the field of mental health requires the development of a network of community-based services to ensure the rights and promote access to outside institutions and processes of social inclusion of people with mental suffering. However, the institutionalization inertia that hinders the development of replace the traditional logical in mental health. From the perspective of Critical Psychology, this study aims to: compare senses and meanings on services and practices in mental health users involved in rehab services in the south of Ciudad Autónoma de Buenos Aires during 2014. Differences between the perspectives and possibilities of appropriation of rights and community life in people with prolonged hospitalizations and brief hospitalizations were found. In this sense, it is the challenge of deepening community orientation in the context of greater autonomy and accessibility of rights.
