Abstract

VALENZUELA, Viviana  and  AISENSON, Gabriela. YOUTH ATTENDING SCHOOL ORCHESTRAS: IDENTITY AND FUTURE PROJECT CONSTRUCTION. Anu. investig. [online]. 2016, vol.23, n.1, pp.87-96. ISSN 1851-1686.

This article aims to present a research program with young people attending a social inclusion program: School Music Orchestra. From Counseling Psychology perspective, the goal is to identify some subjective processes involved in the identity and future projects construction of the participants. The research questions are about what meaning those experiences have in the possibility of building worthy lives and future anticipations; how those experiences integrate into the life-paths and what relations do they have with the different socialization and developmental contexts of this young people. Theoretical framework and methodological approach for this research topic are presented. Finally we reflect on the value of this research and the contribution that may bring to the XXI century guidance practices general objective, that rely on the ideas of sustainability and decent lives.
