Abstract

ALIANO, Nicolás. Dinámicas de individuación en fans de un cantante popular. Avá [online]. 2016, n.28, pp.183-204. ISSN 1851-1694.

The present paper explores the involvement of music and subjectivity, based on an ethnographic investigation of music consumption in the everyday life of fans of an Argentinean rock musician, Carlos “Indio” Solari. Our hypothesis is that while transiting between various personal and collective listening spaces, fans not only exercise their tastes, they inscribe their practices in an individuation process which takes place within the popular sectors of contemporary Argentina. Fan’s tastes contribute to the founding of an expressive interiority that is linked to the relational forms (such as the family and peer group) in which it is modulated.

Keywords : Music; Taste; Popular Sectors; Individuation.
