Abstract

IZAGUIRRE, Primaver  and  BEYHAUT, Rosario. New species of the genus Mimosa of subseries Axillares and Reptantes (Mimosoideae- Leguminosae) in the district Uruguayense of the Neotropical Region. Bol. Soc. Argent. Bot. [online]. 2009, vol.44, n.3-4, pp.351-359. ISSN 1851-2372.

Five new species of the genus Mimosa L. are presented; three of them for subseries Axillares: M. axillarioides sp. nov, M. excedentis sp. nov and M. asperoides sp. nov. and two of them for subseries Reptantes: M. riverensis sp. nov. y M. chelata sp. nov. found in Uruguay in north, central and east regions. New collections and field observations were carried on during different flowering and fruiting seasons. Descriptions and illustrations for the new taxa and keys for their differentiation are included.
