Abstract

DIEZ, Oscar A.; RUSSO, Marcos N.; SALAZAR, Romina A.  and  RUIZ, R. Marcelo. Simultaneous production of sugar and alcohol: energy optimization including vinasse concentration. Rev. ind. agric. Tucumán [online]. 2019, vol.96, n.1, pp.35-41. ISSN 1851-3018.

From the comparative analysis of different scenarios in the simultaneous production of sugar and alcohol, where all the vinasse produced is concentrated at 35ºBrix, energy optimization is feasible, if the composition of the fermented must is solved by a mixture of treated juice, syrup and final molasses, achieving in the latter the maximum concentration of non-sugar solids and low purity. The supply of missing sugars was carried out with the other currents mentioned in order to minimize the dilution to obtain a worth capable of producing the expected product with the maximum concentration of alcohol possible.

Keywords : sugar; alcohol; sugarcane; energy optimization.
