Abstract

SOROL, Natalia et al. NIRS spectroscopy in the study of sugarcane quality Part II: Correlations for non sugar compounds. Rev. ind. agric. Tucumán [online]. 2021, vol.98, n.2, pp.47-50. ISSN 1851-3018.

Combining NIRS spectra with the reference data, calibration models to predict non sugar compounds such as phosphates, starch, mannitol, phenols, conductivity ash and color were generated. Validations with new samples independent of the calibration population were carried out to verify the performance of the models. For all the studied parameters the calibration models returned relatively low correlation coefficients (RSQ = 0.60-0.90), with standard errors of prediction (SEP) nevertheless good enough for rapid qualitative analysis.

Keywords : NIRS; sugarcane; juice.
