The Colombian air transport is experiencing rapid development, which began two decades ago. This period coincides with the start and continued implementation of public policies designed specifically for the air transport sector, oriented at two distinct lines, on the one hand on the deregulation and liberalization of the industry, commercial aviation and airport, and on the other side the privatization of airport infrastructure. Therefore, this study has the objective of describe, analyze and evaluate to what extent the public, regulatory and investment policies, implemented by Colombian institutions, contributed to the current development of the airport industry in Colombia.
