Abstract

LOBATO FRAILE, Clemente  and  GUERRA BILBAO, Nagore. University tutorials in European context. Orientac. soc. [online]. 2014, vol.14, pp.00-00. ISSN 1851-8893.

The establishment of the European Higher Education Area has resulted in the introduction of a training perspective focused on students as an active subject who independently learns personal and professional skills. In this context, tutorial becomes crucial as the personalized educational intervention of supporting and counseling in the students acquisition of competencies and personal and professional roles. Given several statements by the European Council, in this decade different models of tutorial actions have emerged in universities, according to different countries cultures and traditions. A decade of various tutorial practices leads to consider it as an educational quality indicator when checking the results improvement, students' satisfaction and the recognition of its value by the actors involved as well as the agencies of evaluation and certification. This found strength does not hide faults that must lead to the appropriate improvements in their different dimensions. It becomes a challenge to the educational innovation in European universities
