Abstract

GONZALEZ SAN MARTIN, Patricia. Enrique Dussel’s liberation philosophy: Genealogy of a theoretical exercise in/for Latin America. Estud. filos. práct. hist. ideas [online]. 2019, vol.21, n.1, pp.1-19. ISSN 1851-9490.

This paper analyzes the origin and the emergence of Enrique Dussel’s philosophy identifying the strategic discussions that led the philosopher to formulate, in an early stage, the liberation philosophy. We posit that the second formulation of the liberation ethics as well as the present approaches that have shaped the liberation politics imply the continuity of the original theses, developed as an architectural category with the purpose of building a system, which means a challenge but also the return of old problems.

Keywords : Enrique Dussel’s philosophy; System; Liberation.
