Knowledge linkages and transfer are key for productive innovation but, despite the importance of the agricultural sector in Argentina, the statistics and evidence in this regard present several limitations. Using data from the 2018 National Agricultural Census and multivariate analysis techniques, the article explores the provincial disparities in terms of technical linkages, allowing for a more complex understanding of the Argentine agricultural sector. Although the results show the relative importance of private advisory services (individual professionals and service providers), predominantly in the Pampean region, the picture is more diverse in the other provinces and the territorial diffusion of public agencies and programs is also highlighted.
