Abstract

LARREA, Natalia  and  GIRADO, Agustina. Reciprocidad política y maternalismo. Un acercamiento antropológico a un conflicto por demanda habitacional. Poblac. soc. [online]. 2023, vol.30, n.1, pp.91-119. ISSN 0328-3445.  http://dx.doi.org/https://doi.org/10.19137/pys-2023-300104.

This article addresses a land occupation incident which took place in the city of Olavarría in 2021, and aims to analyze the process through which the conflict was brought to the public arena and managed from the state sphere. To this end, we first analyze the centrality that the maternalization and feminization of the demands took on as a discursive platform that legitimized the claim. Secondly, we approach the management of the conflict by inscribing it in a network of social and political relations that served to resolve it.

Keywords : Conflict; Maternalism; Political reciprocity; State.
