Abstract

GOTELLI, Agustín. Putting Theories to Work: The Influence of Social Movement Theories on Union Revitalization Studies. Temas debates (En línea) [online]. 2023, n.46, pp.95-112. ISSN 1853-984X.

In this article we review the literature on collective action and social movements in English-speaking countries, focusing on the theory of resource mobilization and the political process approach, and his influence on debates on union revitalization. Without trying to exclusively cover the relevant literature on the subject or exhaust its possible readings, we consider what, in our opinion, presents something new and place it under debate. We hope, at the end of the article, to contribute to the dissemination and discussion of recent theories of union labor collective action.

Keywords : unions; collective action; social movements; union revitalization.
