Abstract
COLOTTA, Mariana. La inserción de las mujeres en la política exterior. Balances y desafíos a 40 años de la vuelta de la democracia argentina. Relac. int. [online]. 2023, vol.32, n.65, pp.131-148. ISSN 2314-2766. http://dx.doi.org/https://doi.org/10.24215/23142766e175.
Four decades after regaining democracy in Argentina, reflecting on women’s participation in foreign policy leads us to explore their presence and absence in our diplomatic life and to take a glimpse at their role in peace missions as they re-signify themselves as protagonists and become key players in peace-building processes. The inauguration in recent years of a new paradigm for Feminist Foreign Policy (PEF) led by avant-garde countries, which has taken some time to arrive in Latin America aided by Mexico, Chile and Argentina, opens up a new challenge to reanalyze the role of women from a critical perspective. State feminism, institutional feminisms and decolonial feminisms frame the debate around the assessments and challenges faced by the Latin American region.
