Resumen

TERRA, Leticia MUÑIZ. Work and family like imbricated worlds. Tensions and joints of a difficult conciliation. Trab. soc. [online]. 2020, vol.21, n.34, pp.191-200. ISSN 1514-6871.

This article aims to understand the relation between the world of labor and families of formal workers and how this relationship is modified throughout time. We use the theoretical perspective of the family and work conciliation and analyze the possibilities of conciliation offered by Argentine oil company (YPF), looking at its labor strategies . We also analyze the labor paths of oil workers, especially the changes in their conciliation times in their families.

The research is approached from a qualitative inquiry, including 20 biographical interviews of oil workers.

Our results showed that the conciliation of labor and family are changeable throughout the worker's path.

The conclusion argues that the nonexistence of policies of conciliation and the tension of domestic conciliation in relation to family and work tend to perpetuate gender inequalities.

Palabras clave : family; work; conciliation; labor paths.
