ANDRADE, Cristiane Batista; GONCALVES MARTINS, Ana Clara y BITENCOURT, Silvana Maria. Work and health in domestic job in Brazil: what does the literature say?. Trab. soc. [online]. 2021, vol.22, n.37, pp.527-542. Epub 01-Jul-2021. ISSN 1514-6871.
This article has objective of analysing the work and health of domestic workers in Brazilian context. The domestic job is predominantly female, with low salaries, exercised mainly by black women, without labour rights, with physical and emotional demands in the work. This research integrative review was realized by consulting Scielo, BVS and Scopus. Were selected 23 articles (2013 to 2018) about the domestic job in Brazil. The results are: women predominantly, strenuous work, precarious and devalued. The effects in the health are: musculoskeletal diseases, emotional disturbs, use of cleaning chemicals, sleep disturbances, and others. The workplace violences are humiliation, sexual harassment, prejudices, discriminations and child work. The rights to have a decent work and the health should be the social guarantee to those who care of others.
