This work has the characteristic of an essay in which I carry out a reflection about the ways in which planning of education was established in Argentina. The author seeks to analyze how the discourse and practice which it developed, had a bear on the configuration of the meaning assigned to the curriculum in the successive political-educational projects with which the country was tried to be organized during the second half of the XXth. Century. These considerations are nurtured by the weft of some inescapable theoretical assumptions on which my appreciations rest, always referred to the facts of which many of us some kind of record in the anchorage of our historical memory. I affirm, as a consequence of this route covered, that the planning of education has constituted the most legitimate 'rationalizing expression of the ideals' which where being configurated and assumed in our age, as core contents of the political-educational projects, and therefore, of the curricular projects proposed for the country as a hegemonic plan.
