Resumen

CORRAL, Nilda Josefa  y  SILVESTRI, Lisel Irina. (Interpretation and construction of metaphors on the student's at the teching training course Beliefs on what teaching is). Cuad. Fac. Humanid. Cienc. Soc., Univ. Nac. Jujuy [online]. 2013, n.44, pp.53-72. ISSN 1668-8104.

In this paperwork, the results of the study of the students' at Science Education beliefs on what teaching is are reported. These results are part of an investigation devoted to the understanding of student's beliefs about knowledge, knowing and learning processes in academic - disciplinary contexts. The productions are described and interpreted appealing to the conceptualizations available in the literature on the conceptions of the different orientations of teaching.             The methodological design combined tasks of selection and construction sequences: first, selection of metaphors in two sets, then, comparison of the chosen metaphors and their own metaphors about teaching, and finally, proposing a new personal metaphor. The sample consisted of twenty trainee students attending the last year of the teacher's training course.             The metaphors were interpreted in various ways, though the orientation towards the teacher and the act of teaching was privileged. In the selection and explanation of tasks, the connotations remained the same for both metaphors, no matter which the orientation was. When the analysis included the last task, the soundness of the interpretation showed stability in the positions focused on the teacher, while in those focused on the student and the interaction, there were cases of lack of consistency in which the focus on the teacher was the center again.             The control and planning ideas emerged as the most important aspects of those with teacher centered beliefs, and also in those with learning-interaction as a result of the exchange of ideas and the shared experience.
