Francisco Ruiz Sánchez (1929-1982), professor and Argentine researcher, studied the concept of education, educational purpose, among others. So that, Fundamentals and aims of education, whose first edition dates back to 1978, can be considered as the most representative of the author’s work. From the analysis of that work, the downside of its location within some of the science emerges. In this sense, this paper aims to show the uncertainty and possible epistemological delimitation the pedagogy, the philosophy and the theory of Education have suffered, citing as representative of this problem the mentioned work.
