Resumen

CIORDIA, Carolina  y  RUSSO, Marlene Denise. La gestión de los afectos: Administración judicial de conflictos familiares en los tribunales de familia bonaerenses. Intersecciones antropol. [online]. 2014, vol.15, n.2, pp.461-472. ISSN 1850-373X.

The article analyzes the meanings attributed by judicial agents of family courts in the province of Buenos Aires to their daily work, focusing on a "special sensitivity" that they argue is necessary to address the particular conflicts managed in these spaces. Specifically, two types of judicial lawsuits are examined: those that refer to "alimony/maintenance", "visitation rights" and "custody"; and those oriented to children up for adoption. According to these agents, such conflicts demand a particular type of administration because they refer to feelings, emotions and moral valuations that are present in the realm of familial relationships. Drawing from ethnographic fieldwork carried out in family courts in the province of Buenos Aires, an analysis is conducted of how these agents legitimize their task, the "pedagogical" approaches adopted while addressing these domestic conflicts (directed at changing behavior and ways of being a "father", "mother", "child"), and the particular meanings attached to money and material goods in such disputes. The goal of the article is to contribute to the understanding of these dimensions that, in the judicial shpere, shape the construction and regulation of childhood and family relationships.

Palabras clave : Family courts; Institutional administration of conflicts; Childhood and familial relationships regulation.
