Resumen

MENA, M. Inés  y  FLEISCHER, Deborah. The contribution of the term “deprivation” coined by D. W. Winnicott, in the age we are going through. Anu. investig. [online]. 2013, vol.20, n.2, pp.125-130. ISSN 1851-1686.

This development is based on the new contribution made by Winnicott in 1945 with the term “deprivation”, which constitutes the main focus from where the importance and provision of the environment is tackled, from childhood  to adulthood. Certain environmental conditions are necessary for the emotional development of each individual to take place, from the “good enough mother” function and, by extension, the family, school and society. If we agree to what is proposed by Winnicott, that is, individual health is a condition for conceiving social health, the revision of this notion allows to rethink the present-day antisocial tendency, characterized by a society in which  the homogenizing propension blurs the time and space needed for the subjective deployment of each one of its individuals.

Palabras clave : Deprivation; Antisocial tendency; Provision environment; Health.
