SUAREZ, Guillermo M y SCHIAVONE, María M. The family Cryphaeaceae (Bryophyta) in the forests of Northwest Argentina. Bol. Soc. Argent. Bot. [online]. 2010, vol.45, n.1-2, pp.29-45. ISSN 1851-2372.
A taxonomic revision of the family Cryphaeaceae in the forests of Northwest of Argentina (NWA) is presented. Two genera, Cryphaea and Schoenobryum, are accepted in the NW. Cryphaea apiculata is recorded for the first time for the country and, the geographic distribution of C. patens and C. jamesonii is extended. Cryphaea rhacomitriodes and C. furcinervis are recognized as different species and C. lorentziana is conserved in Cryphaea. Descriptions, illustrations and distribution maps of the species for NW of Argentina are provided.
