Resumen

BOROBIA, Raquel  y  PICCOLO, Filomena. Ethics education: A Proposal in view of the present crisis. Rev. Pilquen [online]. 2004, n.6. ISSN 1851-3123.

Most analysts of the social current situation have coincided with the existence of a crisis in values and the absence of moral models. It is in this context that High School intends to contribute to the ethics education of adolescents. However, there seems to be a break between the moral education ideal proposed by both the educative legislation and teachers, and the actions necessary to introduce and realise such a model. As a consequence, there emerges the need for teachers to discuss the subject matter of the difference between the transmission of Ethics contents and the activities and procedures which would favour the moral development seen as a construction process on the part of the subject himself. The proposal in this work consists of workshops for teachers. It arises from a practical phylosophy which supports the moral development concept, grants privilege to moral autonomy over heteronomy and, as a result, focuses attention on the level of consistency of the moral judgement. It proposes as well the construction of free and responsible human beings.

Palabras clave : Ethics education; High school; Moral development.
