Objective: To show the weaknesses and strengths of the abstract sent to the XII Congress of Cordoba. Material and Methods: The abstracts were divided into Scientifics and Educational. Scientifics should be made with: Introduction, Material and Method, Results and Conclusion. Educators: Introduction, Objectives, Revision of the theme and Conclusion. Maximum 2,200 characters. Results: There were 61 abstracts, 18 Scientifics, 43 educatives. A scientific abstract was rejected because of lock of casuistic. Of the 60 accepted 58% did not respect the rules. In 4 cases there were no introduction, there were no objectives in 6, 13 had not conclusions, 4 had great spellings faults and 8 exceeded the number of characters (more than 2400 characters). In 11 cases it was anticipated the theme without developing the theme and therefore were classified as "abstracts that say nothing." Conclusions: The weaknesses of the abstracts were: not respecting the rules, abstracts that say nothing, excess words and spelling errors. The strongholds of the abstracts were: Important number of residents who performed work, participation of doctors of the interior and the good quality of most of the abstract both Scientifics and Educational.
