This work studies the process of political equipment of Valle de Uco in the frame of the configuration of the provincial State after 1820. It seeks to show how the function of justice, related with police and military function, helped to stabilize the presence of the government in this southern territory of Mendoza, strategic for its proximity to the indigenous population not subject and the mountain passes that allowed an active trade beyond the control of the authorities.
