Conflict is intrinsic to human societies, and its effects led to agreements such as the 1948 Universal Declaration of Human Rights, which recognizes rights as the basis for freedom, justice, and peace. This research approaches the analysis of the conflict associated with the symbolic dimension in peace-building territories through the study of 6 cases of secondary information sources, evaluated in 3 categories of variables: statistical, socio-demographic, symbolic, to compare/contrast the elements of convergence and divergence during the processes of construction, resignification and destructuring of symbols in the collective memory. The research allows us to recognize how the symbolic dimension is a determining factor in the construction of identity in these territories.
