The purpose of this article is to outline some lines of understanding to explain the expansion of the Brazilian Santo Daime cult. This requires a brief discussion of the main features of the cult context of emergence, development and current status is undertaken. In order to show how the identity of the practice remains despite its expansionary policy, it is proposed that the operation in a cult center is the basis for such identification. The site where the social phenomenon occurs is in a location in the Amazon rainforest, and activity there is an inescapable to maintain connections with the Brazilian national factor, through the network of kinship and ritual organization. The research is based on intensive fieldwork in two years where multi-situated participant observation, interviews, review of existing literature and exegesis reflective material was compiled.
